In northwestern Montana, USA. The water is so transparent that it seems that this is a quite shallow lake. In fact, it’s very deep. I love this photo for how the colors transition beautifully under the water. The debris underneath the water gives this photo a texture. I really enjoy how the girl looks like she is just floating above the debris like she is floating on air.

Floating

I am drawn to this photo because the girl is not the first thing I noticed. When I first looked at this photo I thought it was a nature shot. Upon looking at it for a little while longer I noticed the girl. Now each time I look back at it, the girl is all I notice. Her color is very different from the water making her pop. I also love how her skin tone is mimicked by the color of the reflection of the clouds receding towards the back of the image.
